Hundreds of local, county and federal officers put federal cases on 83 members and associates of the Mexican Mafia today for crimes ranging from attempted murder to kidnapping and extortion. So, there just might be a few more empty seats at tonight’s Dodger game…!
As President Trump has said, these are real “bad hombres” and it’s great to not just get them off the street but ship them out of state to the no-time-for-good-behvior Federal Pen.
The torrent of arrests, which was led by the San Gabriel Valley Safe Streets Task Force operating out of the Pomona Police Department, also included Mexican Mafia lawyers who smuggled messages or contraband in and out of jails.
Agencies involved in today’s arrests included LASD, the FBI, the ATF, the DEA and the California Department of Corrections (and Rehabilitation).
